Morning: Exodus 15:26

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Evening: Hebrews 11:1&2

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Luke 14: 25-35

25And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

26If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

27And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

29Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

30Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

31Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

32Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

33So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

34Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

35It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The Christmas Message

I John 3:8

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create (Is. 65-18)

… Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. (Isaiah 66:5)

This is a very special verse for my family… especially for my Dad… This is another one of those promises that the Lord performed.. showing His mightiness to all men and women.. that they might see and believe.

The Lord is alive and speaks even today, and His word will never return to Him void. He will perform that which He has spoken. He is a God of promise; a God that fulfills His promises – in the correct time and in the manner that He chooses to. All we must do is trust Him.

Season’s Greetings!

braillechristmasseasonsgreetingsMERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Post-marriage, this verse always seems to stand out to me, reminding me never to depart from the things that I was taught as a kid, from my parents. I am blessed with godly parents, which I think is one of God’s greatest blessings! Although I was always thankful for my parents, after marriage I have come to be even more thankful :-)

This is because, with Dad as a Pastor, there was always a certain way of life that we kids (my bro and me) had to live. And this I use not in any negative sense (altho’ I used to bite my teeth about it at times!). However, after marriage, I seemed to be like a bird let out of a cage, who found her wings and learnt to fly… as high as I wanted to and as far as I wished… And there are times when I stray away from my Shepherd and the path that He has for me. But in His grace, He causes His Holy Spirit to whisper to me… and this is one of the verses that always comes to my mind… to never depart from the things that I have heard from the beginning… and in doing that I know that I will continue to commune with my God.

God Rejoices over YOU!!!

as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. (Isaiah 62:5)

Isaiah 66

1. Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

2. For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord; but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Prayer (verses 3 and 4): Lord, let me not choose my own way, and my soul delight in that abomination, because you will choose my delusion and bring my fear upon me. When you call, let me answer and when you speak let me hear. Let me not do evil before your eyes and choose that which you delight not in.

From Mommie to Me!

This is the word that God gave to my mother when she was going to have me, and I guess she used it when she was going to have my brother as well :-)

And the good mommie that she is, she passed it on/down to me… so that I can use it when I have my baby :-)

It’s found in 1 Timothy 2:15:

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

It’s a conditional promise… and I pray to God that I will be able to continue as He requires, so that He will fulfil His word!
